Product Safety & Compliance
Baby toys are the one product category where 'probably fine' isn't good enough. Here is exactly what we test, label and disclose.
Lab-tested every batch
Accredited third-party laboratories test each production run for total lead content, lead in surface coatings and the eight restricted phthalates under the CPSIA.
Mechanical & physical testing
ASTM F963 covers small parts, sharp points and edges, tension and torque on attachments, cord length, sound pressure levels and flammability. Every toy we list has passed.
Certificates on file
A Children's Product Certificate exists for every product we sell. Email us any SKU and we will send you the certificate.
Active recall monitoring
We monitor CPSC recall notices weekly and contact affected customers by email and phone the same day if any product we sold is implicated.

WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD — some products contain small parts.
Not for children under 3 years unless the product page states otherwise. Adult supervision is required for all infant and toddler play. Remove and discard all packaging, ties, tags and plastic film before giving a toy to a child.
Standards we comply with
- CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act): total lead limited to 100 ppm in accessible substrate and 90 ppm in surface coatings; the eight restricted phthalates limited to 0.1% each.
- ASTM F963: the mandatory US toy safety standard covering small parts, sharp edges and points, tension and torque, cord and strap length, sound levels, flammability and heavy-element migration.
- 16 CFR 1501: the small-parts rule. We test every component against the small-parts cylinder and label any product with parts that fit inside it.
- 16 CFR 1130 / 1109: tracking labels on every product and component certification records retained for five years.
- Rattle testing (16 CFR 1510): every rattle we sell has been tested so that it cannot enter a child's throat.
Age ratings, and why they are strict
Our age ranges reflect both physical safety and developmental fit. A toy rated "9 months and up" is not a toy an eager six-month-old can borrow for a minute. Follow the stated range, and when a child sits between two ranges, choose the older one.
Toys rated for 3+ are labeled with the required choking hazard statement and are kept physically apart from our under-3 range in the warehouse.
Materials disclosure
Every product page lists its exact materials. We do not use BPA, BPS, PVC in mouthing items, lead paint, formamide foam, or magnets that could be swallowed. Wooden toys use FSC-certified hardwood with water-based non-toxic paint or an unfinished food-safe wax. Textiles are OEKO-TEX or GOTS certified.
Safe play checklist for parents
- Inspect toys before each use for cracks, loose parts, frayed cords or torn seams.
- Retire and discard any damaged toy rather than repairing it.
- Keep soft toys, loose fabric and blankets out of the sleep space until 12 months.
- Keep ribbons, cords and straps shorter than 7 inches and never in the crib.
- Never attach a teether or pacifier to a cord around a child's neck.
- Never leave a child unattended in the bath, even with bath toys present.
- Rinse and dry bath toys fully; discard anything that has developed mold.
- Store toys intended for older siblings out of a baby's reach.
Reporting an incident
If a toy breaks, a part comes loose, or a child is harmed, stop use immediately and contact us at +1 (731) 236-4608 or infos@powerbridgehardware.com. Keep the item and its packaging — the tracking label helps us identify the batch. We investigate every report, and where a defect could affect other children we notify the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and contact every purchaser directly.
You may also report an unsafe product independently to the CPSC at SaferProducts.gov or by calling 1-800-638-2772.
Recalls
PowerBridge Hardware LLC has issued no product recalls to date. If we ever do, we will publish it on this page, email every affected customer, refund in full without requiring a return, and cover safe disposal instructions.
